vSphere 5 on UCS blades and NetApp

Hello,

We are deploying new vSphere 5 environment based on the UCS (Intel) blades connected to the new NetApp storage array.

Our current envoronment - Vsphere 4.1 on HP blades (AMD) connected to EMC Clariion.

All UCS blades will be configured to boot from SAN (each blade has one dual ports HBA)

We have few scenarios to connect to the SAN:

1. Create 3 pairs of virtual HBAs: one for boot from SAN, second - to connect to NetApp, third - to connect to Clariion for migration from vSphere 4

2. Create 2 pairs of virtual HBAs: one for boot from SAN and connection to NetApp, second - for connection to Clariion

3. Create 1 pair for everything

Connection for Clariion is temporary and will be removed when migration is complete.

Any input is appreciated.

Thank you in advance!
