Can't upgrade the vmtools...isolation.tools.guestInitiatedUpgrade.disable

So with the help of thedafa and others, I've managed to get my natted vCD environment up. Just deployed a few vApps and networking seems good. Having an issue on updating the vmtools on the box. I get the attached error meesage.

I powered off the machine, opened the .vmx file and first checked for the entry isolation.tools.guestInitiatedUpgrade.disable. Was not there so I added it:

isolation.tools.guestInitiatedUpgrade.disable = "False"

Then I reuploaded the .vmx file and overwrote the existing one so my changes would take effect.

Powered on the VM and tried to upgrade the tools and the same error appeared.

I powered off the machine, opened the .vmx file and the value has changed to:

isolation.tools.guestInitiatedUpgrade.disable = "True"

What's going on?

Thanks!
