AV on my SS

Is there a general rule of thumb to NOT run Symantec or any AV product on my 4.6 View Security Server?

My SS has locked up on me several times over the last few days. However, when it appears to be locked up, I can still PING it and View connections are still being established even though some remote users get the infamous time outs.

Once I stopped SYM, life is so far much better for my SS. Any feedback would be great!!!

I never saw any documentation that spoke about AV on a security server.   I can tell you that I experienced a few of those lockups myself (never did disable Syamntec)  and they all seemed to have cleared up with the upgrade to View 5.

I don't think Syamntec may case problem. Have you change any things in your server? Like update or install new software?
