vShield Edge "Applications"

Knonwn Aplications [Applications Sets] are global entities and can be used when creating Firewall rules for vShield App or vShield Edge.

But any new Application add is limited by its scope.

What I mean is if you are adding a new application at data-center level it will not be shown in Edge Firewall which is installed at port-group level.

Create or add the application at port-group level where edge is installed and you should hopefully see the new application in known application list when creating firewall rules.

Great thanks!

However, when I add an application, its not showing in the “Known Applications” when creating the rule.

It should when you add the application by selecting the port-group from the LHS on which Edge is installed. Can you share some screen-shots or logs?
