Connecting 2 VM's over VMnet6

Had VM's connected to each other and only each other over VNnet6. But when an upgrade was made from version 6 to version 7 this stopped working.

It's as if the two VM's are in different networks but both virtual ethernet adaptors are set to VMnet6.

Does version 7.1.5 have any extra requirements for this to work?

In addition to what André has said you can also try restoring the defaults from the Virtual Network Editor and then reconfigure as needed/wanted to see if that corrects the situation.  Also then check the individual Network Adapters setting for each Virtual Machine under its Settings.

I'm not aware of any significant changes regarding virtual networks. How does the network look like in the Virtual Network Editor? Do you use DHCP for the VM's or did you assign static IP addresses? Please verify the addresses and the settings in the Virtual Network Editors match (same subnet, subnet mask).

VMnet6 seems alright in the Virtual Network Editor but it is not working.

Simply restoring the defaults and rebooting, VMnet6 settings are still the same, but this time it works. Thanks.
