Solaris: SPARC vs x86?

I started to download the hyperic hq installer and agents for Solaris and noticed they all say SPARC.

Does the product support Solaris 10 on x86? For both agents and servers?

Thanks.

Solaris 10 on x86 is definitely supported. You should download the
noJRE bundles, since we're currently not packaging a bundle which
includes the x86 Solaris Java Runtime (the only platform specific
portion of HQ other than the database bits we ship with the server).

If you use the noJRE bundle for the server, you'll need to point it
at a PostgreSQL 8.1 installation. You can get the bits from postgres'
site and follow the instructions at support.hyperic.net to get things
set up.

Ah, good! You probably want to make that a bit more explicit in the download process (or perhaps it was just late at night and I missed it). I'll give it a spin. Thanks!

I went back and read the paragraph regarding downloads. Although it mentions "...you can download a single platform neutral.." you might want to be explicit that this is then the "no JRE" package.

I am looking forward to getting this going. Thanks!
