This is in no way urgent, I’m just trying to satisfy my curiosity, as to why I’m experiencing this problem. First, let me try to explain my configuration.
I have a Windows 7 machine, running VMware Workstation 8.
Inside VMware Workstation 8 I have installed ESXi 5.
Inside ESXi 5 I have a few Windows XP guest virtual machines.
Something like this:
Windows 7 (Host)

-----VMware Workstation 8
|
|
|
-----ESXi 5 (Guest)
|
|
|
----- Guest Machines
My Problem is that whenever I try to copy something from Windows 7 host to the ESXi datastores, my whole network goes down! Something like a flood attack. I get disconnected from everything, including the internet! Even my phone which is connected to my WiFi does not have internet access while the copying.
If I’m lucky, the file will get copied, if not, I will get an I/O error and the copying will stop.
Anyone experience this before? Any ideas?
