upgrade order

I am not sure it this will be on the test or not, but wanted to find out VMWare's best practices for upgrading from 4 to 5. I am not looking for a detailed answer here since this subforum is about VCP certification.  I am just looking for a URL reference so I can read up on this.

What is the preferred order for upgrading from a 4 environment to a 5 environment.  Including: ESXi, vCenter, vSphere Client, VM Tools, etc. etc?

I have a very small version 4 test environment right now and want to go through the upgrade processes.
