Free software solution that I can use to back up virtual machines on ESXi host with good speed and without stopping virtual machines?

The environment has only a 5 ESXi host.

And replication of virtual machine from one ESXi to another ESXi, in version 5 is possible, without purchase vCenter?
The environment does not have FC nor iSCSI Storage

If you want "replication of virtual machine from one ESXi to another ESXi" you will need some kind of shared storage - NFS or CIFS if FC and iSCSI are out.
