Distributed switch without uplink

Hello

Is it possible to create distributed switch without uplink.

You must have at least one uplink per dvSwitch.

That will depend on what you mean with your question. You could actually create a distributed switch without uplinks, as you ask above. However, it will of course not able to send any traffic to the physical network, but could be used for testing purposes.

Yes you can create a distributed switch without any uplinks.


This is something that I've done before so I'm happy with the configuration before adding hosts.
