Removing a template VM from Workstation VM library deletes the VM from ESX server permanently

We wanted to alert our Workstation 8.0 users that we have had a bug reported in Workstation 8 that can result in a template VM being permanently deleted.

If you connect to a vCenter server from Workstation 8.0 that contains VM templates they will be displayed with a red mark in Workstation 8.0 VM library.   When you click on the RED mark the following message will be displayed "Template VMs are not supported."  since templates are not supported within the Workstation UI.

However, ick on the template and select "remove" from the context menu the following message will be shown: "Remove <VM Name> from library? This will not delete virtual machine from disk".

PROCEEDING WITH THIS OPERATION WILL PERMANENTLY DELETE THE TEMPLATE FROM THE VC SERVER.

It should only remove the template from displaying in the Workstation VM Library but we have implemented this functionality incorrectly and it deletes the template from the server.

Please be aware of this issue and use caution when operating with templates through the Workstation user interface.  We have a fix for the problem already and we will be releasing it in the next Workstation 8 maintenance release.
