Error on installation

When I try to install VMWare workstation on my PC running Windows 7 x64 I get the following error during the installation.

Internal Error 29145. Vstor2 MntApi 1.0 Driver

The installation is ofcourse does not continue and I can't enjoy the new product.

Other VMWare products installed on the computer are ESXi vSphere client 4.1 and 5.

Any ideas how to resolve this issue?

Do you have other VMware products installed on this machine?

No, Just the vSphere clients

I am not sure of the internal error code, but did you try running the installer by right click and select "Run a Administrator"?

I have the same problem trying to install VMware-converter-all-5.0.0-470252.exe on a Windows 2003 server.

Tried to Run as Administator and Unchecked "Run this program with restricted access" bit still got the same error message.

I was able to install it on a Windows 7 PC.

So problem has not been solved yet.

get the following error during the installation  “ Error 29145. Vstor2 MntApi 1.0 Driver (shared)”

Update: found recommendation to restart the server. Restarted the server and was able to install the converter program.

I did have a previous version that I had uninstalled before this installation and that may have been part of the problem.
