Cannot add ESX host on vCenter 4.1

Hi,

For some reasons, the 'Add Host...' option has been greyed out on vCenter and I cannot add any ESX hosts. Any idea? Thanks.

Assuming this is not a licensing (60 day evaluation period expired) issue, it may be either caused by an Essentials edition - as mentioned by weinstein5 - or "vCenter Server Foundation" which are both limited to a maximum of 3 hosts or by limited permissions which do not allow you to add hosts.

Are you running an essentials version of vCenter - it is only limited to managing 3 ESX hosts -
