esxi 4.1 u1 HP bl460 blades and flexfabric issues

Environment:

HP c7000 blade chassis

OA gen2 - 3.31 firmware

2 flexfabric modules (4G SAN and 6G network) - 3.18 firmware

16 ESXi 4.1 u1 - build 433742 (HP download esxi bundle from April)

blades are bl460c g7 with latest and greatest firmware

storage - IBM SVC 5.1.0.9 with XIV backend

Problem:

This is a new esxi farm that we created to build any new VMs on.  Right now there are roughly 20 VMs which are a mixture of win2k8 and 2k3.  When we origionally built this farm a few months ago we had an issue where a datastore or two would become locked by a host and all the VMs on the datastore would locked and need to be killed...usually by rebooting the host.  VMware support said there was a new driver out for the OneConnect CNA adapters (Emulex) onboard so we upgraded that driver and we didn't see any issues for a few months.

Last Monday the issues crept up on us again.  However, this time it is happening every day.  We got HP and VMare to say they won't help any further until we upgraded our hardware to the latest and greatest as well as put the esxi build up to 433742 which means we applied 3 more patches.

So here we sit patched to the gill and we are locked up...waiting for HP and VMware to help.  Please let me know if anyone out there is successfully running with the flexfabric as well as the HP esxi 4.1 u1 bundle.  If we find the answer to the issue I'll post.

We have other ESX 4.1 installable farms running against the same storage without issues.

Update:

After working with VMware, HP and Emulex, we weren't given a fix so we had to change our solution.  We ended up configuring the Flexfabric to be networking only and added the 8/24 Brocade switches and Qlogic mezz cards.  We have been running clean and without locks ever since.
