Issues with adding VMWare ESXi 4.1 host into Virtual Center 4.1.0 - HP BL460c G7

Hi all,

We got 2 x BL460c G7 into our HP C7000 enclosure recently. Installed VMWare ESXi 4.1 U1 (HP Version) but I am unable to add these hosts into our Virtual Center for management.

Errors: Cannot install vcenter agent service. Cannot upload agent

I've checked the HCL and HP BL460c G7 are on there and I've used the HP version of VMWare.

Question: I was wondering whether there are any users out there would experienced similar issues and what they've done to overcome them.

HP BL460c iLO FW: v1.2

HP VC Flex10 FW: v3.18

HP OA FW: v3.21

VMWare ESXi 4.1 U1 348481

VMWare Virtual Center 4.1.0 Build 345043

**Note: I've also attached the hostd log. Please let me know if there are any other logs that might help with this....

Cheers,

Jeff

Hello Jeffery

I thin that is a problem with / partition allocated too small. The VirtualCenter tries to upload specific .tgz files (for aam, Agent HA) and there is no free space available to extract the tgz file.
