apologies, in my Win 7 vdi the audio driver is listed as VMware Virtual Audio (Devtap)
The virtual sound device supports audio out only. There are two routes you can go down:
1. Use the USB redirection functionality with a USB headset and use that as your sound device for applications requiring audio in
2. Install the Teradici Virtual Audio Driver on your VMs, which is supported by Teradici rather than VMware: http://techsupport.teradici.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=15164&task=knowledge&questionID=421

Highly recommend using the Teradici Audio Driver and an analog microphone. While USB is supported, you'll get better performance out of analog with the Teradici Audio driver. Send me a message if you have issues.
Tried the Teradici driver and worked like a charm. Thx guys!
Teradici Virtual Audio Driver ver 1.1.0 not supported view client ver. 5.1.2.
