How many hosts can be run on license?

Hello all,

I have the following licenses right now:

vCenter Server 4 Essentials 1 LICENSE KEY(s) 1 INSTANCE(s)
vSphere 4 Essentials 1 LICENSE KEY(s) 6 CPU(s)

My question is, how many hosts can be run on the above-mentioned licenses?

If you have one host that has 6 physical CPU's - you can only license one vSphere host. If you have 3 hosts that have 2 physical CPU's each you can license 3 hosts.

As you can see - it all depends on how many CPU's your hosts have - but you can only license a maximum of 6.

by default Essentials is for3 host only
