Unable to get HA to work

I have three hosts, all of identical hardware and ESXi versions (4.1). The networks are configured the same on each host and they can all ping each other with their FQDN. But, whenever I try to enable HA in my cluster I always recieve the error "Cannot complete the configuration on the HA agent on the host. Misconfiguration in the host network network setup". All three host error out with this message. The host each have 2 4 port Broadcom nics and the 5 active nics are all configured on the same with each nic matching a different subnet and I only have one management int configured for vCenter. I have checked several KB's with no luck. Any advice would be appreciated.

So it seems DNS resolution is working and each host can ping the others with the FQDN as well as vCenter Server and vice versa. Are all the hosts also able to ping the default gateway? Are the hosts in the same subnet?

Make sure all the Portgroups are spelled the same.

1) DNS

2) DNS

3) DNS

😉

Than, ensure your default gateway can be pinged. If that is the case open up the log files and see what it is complaining about and let us know,

DNS doesn't seem to be the issue because name resolution succeeds between hosts and vcenter, but, as for pinging the default gateway. That is not an option because the management interfaces are all on the same subnet (192.168.110.x)with no physical gateway. I have a gateway defined (192.168.110.1)because it won't let you not have one, but they all exist on the same subnet and therefore does not need a default gateway to talk to each other.

Is this somehow causing a problem?

lol... just typing this gave me the answer.. I changed the default gateway to be itself (same ip as int) and it is working. Thanks guys!
