Welcome to the Community,
"I copied it" assigns new UUIDs as well as new MAC addresses to the VM. What you can do is to copy the vmx file from the source to the destination folder again.
please make sure u backup immediatley before u do any further step..any changes may cause loss of data....
also i would suggest u to manually perform the tasks on vmx files and then all vmdk files
I copied from the source DVD to the hard drive again. When I chose open from the VMWare menu and navigate to the VMX and select, it just repopulates the VM without giving me the option to copy or move. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.
Nevermind - recopy did fix it. Thanks.
