help with virtual machine file

Today I received the below error  when I tried to open my virtual machine.  I have searched the forums and  saw the text file/script but can't figure out to use it.

Can someone help?

"/Users/shade1981/Documents/Virtual  Machines.localized/Windows XP Professional.vmwarevm/Windows XP  Professional.vmx" is not a valid virtual machine configuration file

The attached "Windows XP Professional.vmdk.zip" file was created from the vmware.log file.

Unarchive the attached file and replace it with the original damaged file.

if you're talking about vmxRecover.pl then executing it without any arguments will show the syntax.

If you want you can attach the vmware.log files and I'll create a new .vmx file for you.

See: Collect vmware.log files section in: Information Gathering for VMware Fusion

Thanks so much!  Is this enough?  The vmx file is zero kb.
