Workstation 7.1.2 VM's not pinging the local PC

Hi,

I have WorkStation 7.1.2 installed in my PC and I have created 4 VM's with different flavour OS including Windows Server 2008. Even though these VM's are on Bridged networking I am not able to ping to-and-fro.

I want to ping my VM's from my local desktop and otherway round too.

Please can you suggest, where am I going wrong.

First of all make sure you do NOT have Virtual Network Editor looking like this

In most casese this issue is caused by a firewall and/or AV application on the hosts system blocking the traffic.

Is your Host PC running Windows?  If so you may want to try the suggestions in this KB article to see if it helps:
