Vmware Tools: Not Running Suse 10 SP3

hi guys

it has happened twice last month, server is properly working (monitoring server) and suddenly the VM is not reachable by ping for instance and when going to the vmwar console the server has a black screen and is frozen can not be accessed at all....and Vmware Tools status says: Not running.

these two times the server has been ust rebooted noy by me

I am adding the log from the last time the issue happened

this is just an standalone ESXi Server not VC involved

I found this by the way

Tools guest daemon status changed to: 2
Updating current heartbeatStatus: yellow
Tools guest daemon status changed to: 1
Tools guest daemon status changed to: 2
Updating current heartbeatStatus: red
Running status of tools changed to: notRunning

Have a look through the vmware.log files in the VM folder. You should go through the logs yourself to see if you can locate potential error conditions etc. You have a better understanding of your environment than anyone here. Use some monitoring tool that will pinpoint the time the VM stops responding. Use a syslog server to gather the VMware logs and filter for error conditions. Cross reference times to errors or conditions across all your logs.
