vmware vSphere 4.0 certification (not 4.1)

Hi,

I have taken the classroom course for vmware vSphere 4 (Install, configure and manage) - ESX 4.0, ESX 4.0i, vCenter server 4.0 in 2010

Now, i am planning to take the certification exam  - VCP4

However on the vmware mylearn site, under certification, i could not find certification info for vSphere 4.0. I can only see vSphere 4.1

Please can some one help me to know if vSphere 4.0 certification is retired?

Do i need to again take a classroom course ?

can i not write the vSphere 4.0 certification exam ?

Thanks.

Don't worry, there is no different certification for 4.0 or 4.1. It's the same.

from http://mylearn.vmware.com/mgrReg/plan.cfm?plan=12457&ui=www_cert

The 4-day version of this course VMware vSphere: Install Configure, Manage [V4] taken before December 31, 2010 still meets requirements.

I think your only option is to take the VCP410 not 400. 4.1 considered the latest version, so take 4.1  worth than taking VCP400.

The VCP4 certification (VCP410 exam code) is a generic 4.x certification.

Same was for VCP3 (the exam code was the same for 3.0 and 3.5).
