I have deployed a series of paired VSM's, these are all located on Nexus 1010 appliances and fully functional.
The first is called vsm1 and has an associated HA VSM. My question is about renaming the name from say "vsm1" to "SRV-2".
I know how to rename the VSM, I just want to ensure that the rename does not subsequently conflict with vCenter. This is because once the VSM is connected to vCenter is creates a folder based on the original "vsm1" name.
Will renaming the VSM from "vsm1" to "SRV-2" cause issues between vCenter and the VSM?
PS: I know this is the incorrect forum, however for some reason I was unable to post directly to the vSphere forum
Ignore that. Renaming the VSM via the "switchname" command automatically updated the DVS name in vCenter.
