Changes to courses that can be used to satisfy Course Requirement

Hello All,

I wanted to make you aware of changes to courses that can be used to satisfy the VCP course requirement.  Beginning January 1, 2011, the vSphere:  Fast Track class is no longer being offered.  As such, it cannot be used to satisfy the course requirement, unless it was taken prior to December 31, 2010.  Those looking for this style class can now take the vSphere:  Bootcamp class, which is similar.  Details on the new Bootcamp class can be found here:

http://mylearn.vmware.com/mgrreg/courses.cfm?ui=www_edu&a=one&id_subject=21088

The vSphere:  Install, Configure, Manage course has been extended to 5 days to allow coverage of additional features introduced with 4.1.  As previously stated, the new features, like Network and Storage IOCTL, are not on the current exam.  The current exam remains consistent with features common to 4.0 and 4.1.

Other course options, such as Troubleshooting and the What's New course if you are currently a VCP3, remain unchanged.

Hello Jon,

Thank you for the update.  Just one small thing: you may want to change the "not" to "now" in the following sentence: "Those looking for this style class can not take the vSphere"

Trevor
