Hi, I just set up a two hosts HA cluster and I get this warning on both ESX servers.
The hosts DO have management network redundancy : two nics for the service console, plugged to two different switchs (stacked Cisco 3750). I tested it today with the client without a problem (unplugged a cable, watched the alarm, plugged it back, reset the alarm, unplugged the other cable, etc...).
Any idea what could cause this message to show up when it shouldn't ?
Have you attempted to restart the management agents?
Hello Cornuwell
I think you might be on the right way. The team policy is set to 'IP hash', but I'm not sure etherchannel is configured on the switchs already.
I'll check this out tomorrow morning (it's 9PM here) and keep you posted.
I've seen this a few times, usually its just a bug that for whatever reason it doesn't register as redundant, try putting it in maint mode then taking it out and see if it still shows up as no redundancy.
Thread moved in HA area.
Have you tried to use "reconfigure HA" for each hosts?
Andre
Both hosts have been rebooted several times. And HA works fine : we tested it.
The only difference between this setup and the similar others I installed is the 'IP hash' parameter and the lack of etherchannel on the switchs.
Unfortunately, I'm no longer at the client's. I showed him how to change the parameter and he'll tell me the result in a few days.
I'll keep you posted.
You shouldn't be doing IP-Hash without Etherchannels! This can and probably will cause unexpected behavior and may result in issues.

Thanks for confirming my hunch. I'll confirm that as soon as the client has time to test it.
