Problems with serial and usb port on Windows 7 and HP 5545 thin client

We have View 4.5 and HP 5545 clients.

Two problems:

1. Is it possible to use serial port on thin client with Windows 7 VM? I see serial port in Win7 device manager but it is not working (hyperterminal)

2. USB is working but very slow?!
