Hi,
I made a mess !! Playing with new ViewServer 4.5 I have configured Transfer Server Repository directly on my View Server. Now I have created a real Transfer Server, but I cannot change the Repository unless I shut down the View Serve. But If I shutdown View server I cannot reconfigure the repository...............
Is this information written anywhere in the server (or vCenter db) ? In that case I can modify the record into the db.
Thanks in advance
regards,
Davide
in this tutorial http://paulslager.com/?p=624 it is teaching you of installing transfer server, put into maintenance mode follow by adding the repository. please do the reverse way as in putting to maintenance, then deleting the transfer server and the repository will be deleted together as well.

you do not need to shut down the view. all you need to do is to place the transfer server into maintenance mode and you can remove it.

The problem is here. I have no transfer server service installed on my view server, but I was able to configure transfer repository on it. I have created a new virtual server acting as transfer server, but I cannot modify the repository.
What's mean put the transfer server in maintenace mode ? I have tried, but my transfer server shuts down.
thanks
