vDR fails autmount of local vmdk backupstore

Hi guys

The title sais it all, our vDR Appliance (v1.2) fails to mount the locally attached 1,5tb vmdk which holds out backupstore. Thus when restarting the App, the new backups will fail because there is no disk at the mount point available. Has anybody of you had any experience with this issue and is there a workaround available?

We use vDR together with vSphere 4.0u2

/dev/sdc1 /SCSI-0:2 ext3 defaults 0 0

VMware suggest to use small vmdk (1TB).

See http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vdr_12_admin.pdf page 10.

Yeah ok thats a point, we use a 2tb vmdk (which resides on another datastore then the vDR VMDK) but i don't see a connection between the size of the disk and the failed mount operation (i am a linux sysadmin for about 3 years now).

You have right... it's not obvious.

But a destionation is not a simply filesystem that your have to check... It contains inventory, deduplication data and so on...

For this reason seems that the integry check fails or could have some issues with larger destination.

I usually see this problem with network share... only occasionally on vmdk.
