ESX4 update 2 - manage ESX 3.5 vm's

Quick and hopfully simple, can my ESX4 Update 2 infrastructure manage my ESX 3.5 Update 5 Vm's.

I think it does as long as you dont upgrade the vmware tools and hardware ?

Hi arkturas,

This is supported and vmware tools can also be updated.

But for better performance it would be recommended to upgrade the hardware to version 7.

Yes, you can manage ESX 3.5 from vCenter 4.0u2.
