Failed to add ESX server in VC

Hi,

I am having one VC server. To that, I have already added two ESX server. That was working fine.

But last week one of the ESX was down. So disconnected that and now when I am trying to add it again, it is giving error as:

-

Error

-

Unable to contact the specified host (10.20.223.249). This might be because the host is not available on the network, there's a network configuration problem, or the management services on the host are not responding.

OK

I am able to login to that ESX using VI client. But when I try to open the console of any of the VMs then I am getting error as:

"Cannot connect to host xx.xx.xxx.xx: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it"

Please do let me know if anyone has any clue about it.

Welcome to the forums!

Verify that the vCenter agent is running: ps -ef | grep vpxa

All the services were running.

We reinstalled the ESX, then the problem was resolved.
