How to repair a virtual disk

Hi I have a VMWare Player running on Windows 7 Enterprise, my virtual machine was working fine until my host restart while the virtual machine was updating the O.S., now when I try to run the virtual machine it says: "Cannot open the disk 'E:\Maquina_Virtual_XP\Windows CP Professional.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disk it depends on.

Reason: The specified virtual disk needs repair."

Hi

sorry for short answer ... I am in a hurry

I hope you use player 3.0.1 and not 3.0 or 3.1

If you have 3.01 find the commandline tool vmware-vdisksmanager and use it against the vmdk file referenced in the vmx-file like this

vmware-vdisksmanager.exe -R "full-path\to corrupt.vmdk"

If you post the latest vmware.log we can give you better instructions

Have a look at: Repairing a virtual disk in Fusion 3.1 and Workstation 7.1

I try to repair but it doesn't work, and show me this message: "The virtual disk, 'E:\Maquina_virtual_XP\Windows XP Professional.vmdk', is corrupted but the repair process has failed."

What else can I do?
