Hi all,
I have a laptop with dual boot Vista and Ubuntu:
1 partition 50 GB VISTA ntfs
2 partition data 300 GB ntfs
3 partition ext3 linux /
4 partition ext3 linux /home
5 partition swap.
In windows with VMware Converter I have create a virtual machine from phisical machine of the first partition.
The result is a .vmx file 2,6KB that is the VM and a .vmdk (21,6GB) stored in partition 2 (data) because i have no space from /home
Then i boot from linux, start vmplayer, open a virtual machine and search for vmx file.
The problem is that i can't install Vista because the player it's unable to access the device (unable to run the installation)
Any suggestion is apprecciated..thanks all
Can you access to "Data" partition from Ubuntu?
yes, i mount it.
after many attempts i think that's not possible to install from image Disk System without a setup disk.
Thanks for your reply
