Splwow64 leaking memory

Hi,

I freshly reinstall my laptop with Windows 7 64b and VMWare Workstation 7.

I has to reinstall the latest driver for a HP multifunction. Since, i get the process "splwow64.exe" taking 50% of my cpu (so one core) and growing up to 1,2Go of ram (i generally kill it before!).

Thanks to ProcessExplorer from sysinternals i'm able to "pause" this process when it's just instanciate.

The reason why i post it here is because this process start using all of the memory and cpu only when using vmware workstation, and ProcessExplorer indicate "vprintproxy.exe" as the process launching splwow64.exe...

Do you have any idea to solve my problem?

Perhaps the suggestion in this thread will help? (Removing the "Printer" from the Guest's VM configuration)

Out of curiosity, what model is your Host Printer?

Sorry for this late response...

It was a "HP photosmart C4600 series"...

And i didn't thank you but the answer in the other thread "solve" the issue, or at least it made VMWare usable.

So just deactivating the printer from VMWare solve the problem.
