The VCP program is a worldwide program, so you can take the exam at any Pearson Vue testing centre regardless of where you took the course.
You can sit the exam at any time, there is no 12 month period to worry about unless you received an exam voucher to pay for the exam as that voucher will have an expiry date on it. Oh, and welcome to the UK
