Inside of the VMware web access console, select the host in the Invertory to the left, it display corresponding options in the Commands to the right.
Click on the option called "Edit Virtual Machine Startup/Shut Down Settings". From the window it opens, you will be able to select any virtual to auto start.
Hi, under the commands location there isn't "Edit Virtual Machine Startup/Shut Down Settings"
I've looked everywhere on the right, I'm the latest version of vmware server 2x.
This isn't VC.
Even under edit VM properties there is nothing... Me thinking there is no way.
I appologize, one has to click the SERVER first and then the tabs on the right change!
Thank you so much!
for me it worked with esxi 4.1 348481 and vShpere 4.1.0 345043
logon to your esxi server or vcenter with the vSphere client.
click on your host.
click on Virtual Machine Startup/Shutdown
check the box Allow virtual machines to start...
Select your vm and move it up in the Automatic Startup section
In vcenter, you can also create a tasks (Home, Management, Scheduled Tasks or CTRL-Shift-T)
click on New
Change the VM power state, the rest is easy
Remember, if the first VM you try to start is/contain your vcenter, you cannot use a task, use the Virtual Machine Startup/Shutdown as explain above.
