Your PearsonVue account should have a "pass" status against the exam, you won't get an email from them. VMware will send you the VCP welcome kit in the next 6 weeks or so, the kit will include your certificate, the login to download the VCP logos, and your license for VMware Workstation. If you don't receive the kit, or wish to contact the Certification team directly, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Just checked www.pearsonvue/vmware and it is showing as Passed -
now I guess all I can do is be patient!
Thanks for the prompt reply Scott.
Don't worry, it will come. I passed my exam back in late October and I got my "official" notification via email a couple of weeks ago. After I completed a request in My Tasks I was then granted my VCP number and the welcome kit is on its way. This is a super popular cert to get and the VMWare team is doing their best to ensure all of their prospective VCPs have completed the required tasks.
Thanks for the heads up, I was just making sure I didn't have to do anything immediately to continue the process but thanks again for the advice.
I can comfirm my VCP certification now shows up on my transcipt after confirming shipping address etc...
Now the 6week max wait for the welcome kit to arrive!
I passed my VCP4 last January and I did receive PearsonVue acknowledgement and the Workstation key but when I go to MyTask I don't see any pending tasks and MyTranscript is blank.
What do I need to do ? Is it possible that I have to ask vmware to tie all theses informations to my account ?
So you recieved your physical welcome kit through the post? I'm assuming you obtained your workstation key from there?
Are you sure you are logging in with the correct credentials? (may have registered a different email address)
To have your VCP certification show up on your Transcript you must accept the agreement from VMware (they will email you to say you need to complete a Task and confirm your shipping address), but if you have a license key you must have already done that?
Does your eligible VCP course show up in your list of courses?
As rough guidance, I passed my exam on April 30th, received email from VMware to complete my Tasks around 2 days ago, and now waitin for the welcome kit.
Your best bet would probably be to contact email@example.com
Thanks for the quick reply,
I think my problem is that I am not using the right email address. I already contacted firstname.lastname@example.org yesterday so I hope that they will be able to change the old account to my new one.
So if they have my VCP ID and my customer ID they will be able to help me ?
Definitely sounds like you are using the wrong account, you never mentioned whether you did get the welcome kit?
I would imagine the information you have is sufficient, but the more you have the better e.g. Exanm time, location.
Let me know how you get on!
Congratulations and what an awesome score. you should receive your welcome kit in about 4-6 weeks

Thanks Tom, it is definitely a rewarding feeling when months of study and hands on experience comes together, I'm prepping for the VCDX now using the 3.5 blueprint so hopefully the vSphere 4 blueprint is released soon.
