Add ESXi to virtual center

How can i add ESXi 4 to a virtual center 2.5 to manage it but NOT to existing cluster?

I have created a new datacenter and tried adding the host but got an error message

You can't add ESXi/ESX 4 hosts tlo vCenter 2.5. Suggestion: upgrade vCenter to 4.

As marcelo indicated you can not manage an ESX/ESXi 4.0o host with vc 2.5 -
