ESXi does not mount iSCSI LUNs on boot

I have 4 ESXi hosts connected to an EMC NS120 SAN via iSCSi.

The SAN has 6 LUNs set on the target. When I reboot the ESXi hosts they do not mount the LUNs again.

On rescan of the iSCSI initator in the viClient the LUNs come back?

Any idea what this may be?

Thanks

Patrick

check the error logs for possible clues? Anything in the task?

In Event, I get a message saying "removed datastore nas01-lun13" for each LUN.

pdarcy,

Were you able to find the cause?

I'm having the same problem with all of my ESXi 4 host but not any of my ESX 4 host. It also only started to happen when EMC upgraded our Celerra Dart code to 5.6.48-7 this week, before we were on 5.6.37-6 and this problem never occurred which makes me think it's something with the new Dart code.

Hi,

I don't know if the problem solved or not, but you can check this "KB1038065" if you are using software iSCSI.

I hope it can help
