    Issues installing VMWare tools

    jboyd20 Lurker

I am running Windows 7 and installed VMware Server 2.0.  I installed Ubuntu 9.1 and when I attempt to install the VMware tools, it shows as a CD-ROM drive labeled 'VMWare tools' however when I try to mount the drive to access it, I receive an error "unable to mount location, internal error: no mount object for mounted volume".

Has anyone had success with installing VMWare tools on Ubuntu 9.1?

      Many thanks to all.

          Welcome to the forums!

Enter "mount". Is that virtual CD already mounted?
