Mouse cursor goes to right side on screen on Fusion 3.01

Hi,

I am using Fusion 3.01 and Windows 7. I have this problem that the mouse cursor sometimes goes to the right side of the screen for no reason. Anyone had this problem and maybe know a way to fix it?

Cheers.

Try the follows:

1. Uninstall the VMware Tools from the Win 7 virtual machine.

2. Now uninstall Fusion 3.0.1 completely and then install Fusion 3.0 and check.

Once Fusion 3.0 is installed do not forget to install the VMware Tools.

One more thing I would like to know:

Is this happening while using dual displays+ running the virtual machine in full screen?

Exactly. When in full screen - two displays.

Does not do this in full screen single.

If so could you please try doing what I had suggested earlier for uninstalling the current VMware Tools from the Win 7 virtual machine and then uninstalling Fusion 3.0.1 and then install Fusion 3.0 and check if the issue persists.

The below steps will help you:

First uninstall the VMware Tools by following the steps

below:

1. Go to Start>Control Panel>Programs>Programs

and Features. Select "Uninstall a program". Select VMware Tools from

the list and then click on "Uninstall".

2. Reboot the virtual machine ( Do not reinstall the

VMware Tools).

Now let us downgrade to Fusion 3.0 by following the steps

below:

1. Shut down all your virtual machines and then quit

Fusion.

2. Run the uninstall script located in

/Library/Application Support/Vmware Fusion/Uninstall VMware Fusion.

3. Delete the following folders or files:

a. Mac

HD/Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion

b. Mac

HD/Library/Receipts/VMware Fusion.pkg

c. Mac

HD/Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/com.vmware.fusion.plist

d. Mac

HD/Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/VMware Fusion 4. Now restart the

Mac.

5. Now install Fusion 3.0 from the install CD or by

downloading it from the link below after putting in your VMware account

details:

6. After installing Fusion install the VMware Tools in

your virtual machines. To install the VMware Tools you need to power on the

virtual machine and then go to Virtual Machine>Install VMware Tools form the

top menu bar.
