P2V Linux

Anyone know how to perform P2V migration for Linux system. If the version is not supported by convertor, any other way?

Try to use VMware Standalone Conveter 4.0.1.

If it does not work, you can perform the conversion manually:

use a live CD on a VM and copy all files from the source machine

than change /etc/fstab with new partitions layout and fix the SCSI modules.

Hi, I'm not so clear about your answer. Because i'm really not familiar Linux, can I have more detail on the step for the migration without converter.

Thanks

In this case a manual conversion is very difficult.

Try an automatic tools.
