vSphere Version 4 support matrix

Hi All

I am trying to find some information on the support matrix for V4 BIOS on vSphere. I can of course upgrade to V7 but at the moment I have no real reason to utilise the new features and improvements. New servers will of course take advantage but currently V4 is suiting my performance and stabilty needs

Is there any documentation any one is aware of to state when VMware propose to de-support V4 BIOS?

ESX/ESXi 4.0 can run both v4 and v7 VMs.

But with v4 you cannot use new features, like VMware FT.

I appreciate that I cannot use new features, but currently have no need on our current install base. New customers can use the new features and potentially certain existing ones can use (and then we upgrade them)..

All I really need to know is if V4 will be desupported in the vSphere 4 lifespan and if soo, when, so I can plan for upgrade

vSphere 4 (ESX, ESXi) supports both VM4 and VM7.

VM4 is always supported in vSphere 4 life span.

But with VM4 cann't able to take advantage of new features like hot plug, etc.

thanks
