You uninstalled GSX and reinstalled GSX right?
Did you unregister the hosts before you did this?
If you didn't, you might want to remove them, then reinstall, then add them back.
If you did that, then the problem is probably with the Host OS.
Have you reinstalled the Host OS on either of these boxes?
just curious as to what version of VC you are running?
It was unregistered when I did the reload of GSX v3.2. I have not reloaded the Host O/S. Do you think the VC v1.3 is storing some data in the SQL DB that is causing the issue? I would prefer not to reload the Host O/S for such a small issue.
Why don't you unregister it, and then reregister it with a different name, and see if it changes.
What I mean is, I've registered hosts using the FQDN, as well as the NetBios name.
If the error occurred when you were using the FQDN, try the UNC name instead. Ex: GSX01.Domain.com -> GSX01
See if you still get the error.
I am running into the same problem. I have tried everything except for reloading the host OS outlined in this tope. Was there any resolution to this problem?
I am running GSX 3.2.1 and VC 1.3.
