Help removing snapshot

I am trying to remove a snapshot but I get this error:

A general system error occurred: Invalid fault

Or if I try "remove all snapshots" (only 1) I get this:

vim.fault.InvalidState: The operation is not allowed in the current state.

I cannot shut down this VM as it is a production server, is there a way Ican delete this snap shot? It's growing and growing and I really want to get it out.

I also tried to SSH directly into the host running that VM to use the command line, and I get the same error.

How large is the snapshot and is there enough room to delete it. Consolidating snapshots requires extra storage space depending on the size and number.

You should have a look at the logs. /var/log/vmware/hostd.log and /var/log/messages for relevant information. errors

Probably not enough space on the VMFS volume to merge the existing SS. Try to storage vmotion some other VM's off to make space if you can.

If you have space on another datastore it may be worth cloning it. That will create a new machine without SS's.

The snapshot is about 80GB. I'm hoping 400GB is enough space to delete a snapshot... That's all that's left, and if I can't fix this, it will be less.

What will happen if I do a store migration? I did not try that yet.

Hello

Stop the VC, start it again and try to remove the snapshot.

This already happened to me
