unrecoverable error (vcpu0) Unexpected signal: 7

What can I do to recover from this error? (see attached image file). At present I cannot start the VM and it is pretty crucial to me that I get this running, if possible.

Any assistance is very appreciated -- I have also attached the vmware.log file if that may help.

Workstation 6.5.2

don't know what the main reason is - reading your log I have two ideas:

your host does not support 3d - so better disable it in the VM

something seems to be wrong with your CD - dos the VM start if you remove the CD-drive from the Configuration ?

DANG! I thought that was going to fix it -- I disabled 3D (don't think that was it, since it just disables on it's own anyway) and then removed the CD. The VM got MUCH further in the boot process. Before, it only got the winxp splash screen -- and then hung, and produced the error message that I attached. This time, it went much long (excruciatingly slow boot) and actually got past the splash screen to the logon screen. As it was processing the desktop, it ... kicked the same exact error.

sigh ... anything else you can think of that I might try?

log file attached -- also i should say that the host is a Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 machine, 32 bit

The VM has been working for quite some time, but last week Friday I had to give a presentation, and connected to an external display -- things were fine and then ... not ... and I ended up having to power down the host with the VM running. The VM has not run since.
