Virtual Center 2.5 U2 & ESX 2.5.2

Hi,

I have this issue, I have a Vcenter 2.5 U2 and I want to connect a ESX 2.5.2 Build 16390, I can connect one ESX 2.5.2 but I am trying connect other one but it shows an error message: unable to connect to specific host, I did the instructions in http://communities.vmware.com/message/1096760#1096760 but it wasn't unsucesfull, what can I do? thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forums!

Check that the root passwort is correct.

Disable the firewall on that ESX host (as long as it doesn't work).

Check that the sshd daem9on is running.

Try to open a ssh connection to the console.

Hi,

Root password is correct

Sshd is running

I can open a ssh connecion

When I add the host to VC, I can see in the wizard its VM's I can do the wizard until the finish button, but when the progress indicator is in 80 % it shows this error:

"Unable to contact the specified host(xxx), This might be because the host is not available on the network, there's a configuration problem, or the management services on the host are not responding"

I updated to 2.5.2 U4 and now i can connect the ESX to VC.
