Is Vmware Player 2.5.3 compatible with Windows Server 2008 sp2

I have installed VMware Player 2.5.3 on a Windows Server 2008 sp2.

It all seams ok, but when I try to restore linux files with Veeam Backup 3.1 (witch use VMware Player) it fails.

I think that it might bee that VMware Player is not supporter on server 2008?

Can you confirm that?
