First you should add vswitch to network, then while creating VM you choose network, that should content at least one network card. Did you made everything in that direct way?

Hello,

you have to logon to your VCenter, click on ESX server then on configuration tab.

In the configuration tab, choose Networking. Then click on propreties, then on /network adapter tab. Then click on add and add the NICS.

After adding the NICs, click on Ports tab and click ADD to add a vSwitch, then choose Virtual Machine, type the name of the Virtual Switch and specify a VLan ID if you are using VLAN or leave it blank if you don't have VLANS.

After creating the Virtual Machine, clik on edit settings, then on the Network adapter. In the propreties of the Network adapter under Network Connection, choose the VSwitch you created.

If you found this information useful, please consider awarding points for "Correct" or "Helpful". Thanks!

What license are you using? vDS needs Enterprise plus license for ESX hosts. If you don't have such license, evaluation should also work.
