The exam is based on VI 3.5, but I do not know if there are specific topic for U2/U3/U4.
Cause official documentation is still based con U2 (http://www.vmware.com/support/pubs/vi_pages/vi_pubs_35u2.html) I think that this will be the reference.
Andre is right, the documentation set is the same for U2, U3 and U4 - so that's what to study from as that's the documentation the exam is based on.

Thanks guys for your prompt reply but my understanding is that some minimum and maximum requirements in VMware ESX 3.5 update 2 are different than update4!!!???

If you go to download the latest VI3 documentation, you will find that it is still "u2", meaning u2 or greater. In some cases a document may be changed to reflect a difference. In any case, as always, the exam is consistent with the currently released update.
